Windmill Science Fair Stars

What a fantastic start to the year.  Our second Science Fair took place last week and the standard of entries was amazing.

At the end of last term, the children in years 1, 2, 3 and 4 were given the chance to take part in an optional home learning science challenge.  Each entrant had to complete an experiment or carry out some research linked to an area of scientific interest and then present his or her findings in an interesting way.

We were delighted to receive many entries covering a wide range of topics and investigations.  Our Science Governor, Mrs Chodorowska, who works locally as an engineer, kindly agreed to judge the entries using the GLF judging criteria.

Below are just a few of the entries we received.

It was a very difficult task but finally a ‘Scientist of the Year’ with additional 2nd and 3rd places, plus 7 runners up were chosen.  The children were delighted to receive their certificates in assembly.
