Bridge Building - Year 6
As part of STEM week, Year 6 had a visit from the teams at BAM Nuttall and Mot MacDonald to give them a workshop on bridge building and an insight into being an engineer.
It was really amazing to see all the children enagaed, involved and fully immersed in the experience. The day was split into two parts. The children were challenged to build the strongest bridges from KNex - they were taught different ways to make bridges stronger and how this happens in real life. The other half of the workshop saw the children put on hard hats and create a real bridge in the hall. They had an absolutely brilliant day and have not stopped talking about it since.
It was lovely to see them experiencing real life jobs that they could aspire to in the future. Thank you again to BAM Nuttall and Mot MacDonald for coming in and giving up their time!
