GB Representation for James Miller

Success at World Pistol Competition for James Miller

After defending his position as British Junior Pistol Champion for the second year running, James Miller 13C has competed at the highest level in his sport, representing Great Britain at the World Junior Cup held in Suhl, Germany, in June.

James achieved a personal best of 568/600 at 10m Air Pistol and finished the Under 21 competition ranked 29th in the World; excellent achievements for a 17 year old in a tense and exciting environment. James continued the week shooting in the Junior Mixed Pairs with his doubles partner,  Samantha Darling, who studies at the University of Bristol. They had an excellent combined shoot, finishing the Mixed competition ranked 23rd in the world.

Following this success, both Samantha and James, as the Junior Ladies’ and Men’s GB No.1 Pistol Shooters, have been selected to represent Great Britain at the World Championships this September in South Korea. These World Championships are only held every four years as part of the Olympic cycle, with over 1,000 competitors across Shotgun, Rifle and Pistol disciplines.

It has been a pleasure to follow James’ shooting achievements, as well as his dedication to CCF, and we wish James success in his future achievements.
