Windsor Castle trips
The Year 2 children at each of the infant schools enjoyed their recent trips to Windsor Castle – Oak Class last Friday and Owls Class the previous week. As well as the castle itself, the children were very excited to see the wedding dress worn by the Duchess of Sussex at her wedding earlier in the year, although sadly no photographs were allowed.
One of the castle staff explained the difference between the flags that fly on top of the castle – if the Queen is in residence, the Royal Standard is flown, and the Pine Ridge children saw this flag flying, as the Queen was at the castle that day. The Lorraine children saw the Union Jack, which is flown at all other times.
