As part of Road Safety Week, Dr Bike visited our school and presented an assembly on bike safety. Dr Bike carried out a session to advise of any works or repairs needed for children’s bike’s for those children that cycled in that day.
During the afternoon Year 2 worked really hard practicing their safe riding, we cycled on the playground on a chalked out road which featured a round-a-bout and practiced giving right of way on the road and hand signals! We also had very responsible marshals to guide the traffic and signal to slow down or STOP where necessary!
Many of the children were awarded their 'Cycle License' to show that they are able to ride their bikes safely without stabilizers.
