Volunteering

GLF Schools’ mission is to serve our communities by providing all children the opportunity to grow, to learn and to flourish. We do this by working together, sharing resources and sharing support – not only within our schools but within the communities which each of our schools serves. We welcome people within our community who would like to give back and volunteer with us.  

If you live or work in the areas around any of our schools and would like to make a difference to the lives of our children and their families, we would love to hear from you. Whether you have a large or small amount of time, and whether you are a parent or carer of one of our children or not, we welcome all volunteer support.  

Below are some of the ways that you may be able to support: 

• Reading with children  

• Helping with after school clubs and/or coaching sports teams 

• Mentoring children 

• Joining one of our School Standards Boards (our local governing boards) 

• (For parents and carers) joining your school’s Parent Teacher Association (or equivalent) 

• Linking your employer with the school to support with careers advice or other support 

• Offering any other skills you have to your local school
