Marden Lodge's Chef Wins Bronze at catering competition

Nikki Coventry, Chef Manager at Marden Lodge Primary School has won an award at a prestigious catering competition with a cake made in the likeness of a much-loved dog of the family, Matt. Nikki showcased her exceptional cake artistry at the HRC Cake Competition at Excel London.

Competing for the first time against over 100 entries, Nikki impressed the judges with her lifelike dog cake, earning a bronze medal for her remarkable craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Nikki’s cake was of a Boxer dog called Matt.

Marden Lodge Head of School Sarah Rumbol praised Nikki’s achievement, stating "We are absolutely thrilled for Nikki and her incredible success. Her dedication, creativity, and passion truly shine through in everything she does. Her wonderful baking skills have certainly given pat-a-cake a new meaning! This bronze medal is a testament to her exceptional talent, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our school community.

The cake was brought back to school and enjoyed by parents and pupils at the school gates.
