Marden Lodge Primary School welcomes volunteers
Back
Over the Easter Holidays Marden Lodge Primary School held a volunteer week where several refurbishment projects across the school were completed by approximately 20 corporate volunteers over the course of 5 days. Representatives from companies including Ribbons & Reeves, Tradewind Recruitment, and Salesforce generously used their corporate volunteer time to join school staff and GLF School Support Team members in jet washing the playground, landscaping an internal courtyard, and painting classrooms and outdoor resources — all of which has made a huge difference to the school's learning environment. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time and effort. A particular note of appreciation goes to two students from Warlingham High School, who kindly volunteered a day of their holiday to assist with organising the school library and painting wooden planters.
Sarah Rumbol, Head of School, commented “Marden sent out a flyer to the local community advertising for volunteers. The response was inspiring, and a big thank you to all of our volunteers over the Easter break — it’s amazing what can be achieved in just a few days! There was a real sense of community spirit and pride in helping to make improvements to the school environment.”
