Drama, Art & Eco Showcase – 29 June
On Monday 29 June, we were delighted to welcome students and staff from across our schools to Highdown School for an inspiring celebration of creativity, performance and sustainability.
The Drama, Art and Eco Showcase highlighted the incredible talent, imagination and passion of our young people, providing opportunities for students to perform, exhibit and share their work with peers from across the Trust. From captivating drama performances and impressive works of art to innovative environmental projects, the event showcased the breadth of talent and creativity that exists across our school community.
Highlights from the Day
Throughout the day, students took to the stage for an exciting programme of live drama performances. Audiences were treated to a variety of productions, including musical theatre and original pieces, demonstrating the confidence, commitment and creativity of our students.
Alongside the performances, the Art and Eco exhibitions were displayed in the marquee. Students proudly presented their work, discussing the inspiration, ideas and processes behind their creations. Schools also participated in judging and voting, helping to identify and celebrate the most impactful and innovative submissions.
A carefully planned programme enabled students to rotate between performances and exhibitions, ensuring everyone had the opportunity to experience the wide range of talent on display.
Celebrating Student Achievement
A particular highlight of the day was the awards presentation, recognising exceptional achievement across Drama, Art and Eco.

These awards recognised not only creativity and talent, but also the collaboration, innovation and confidence demonstrated by students as they shared their work with others.
While the event celebrated outstanding performances, artwork and environmental initiatives, it was also about confidence, opportunity and belonging. By bringing together students from across our family of schools, we created meaningful opportunities for young people to express themselves, learn from one another and be part of something wider than their own school community.
Whether performing on stage, exhibiting artwork or presenting environmental ideas, every student played an important role in making the day such a memorable success.
A huge thank you goes to all participating students, staff, volunteers and judges whose enthusiasm and support made the showcase possible. The event was a wonderful example of the creativity, talent and spirit that exists across GLF Schools.
