It was a picture-perfect occasion when students showcased their talents at the Aureus Arts Exhibition.

Members of the community joined staff, students, and their families and friends for the annual event at Aureus School in Didcot, which
featured artwork from Year 11 GCSE Art students alongside pieces created by younger year groups.

Steph Robins, Head of Art at Aureus, was proud of the high standard of the work on show.

“This year’s exhibition was a wonderful celebration of the exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication of our Year 11 GCSE Art students,” she said. “Their exhibition showcased an impressive range of highly accomplished and imaginative work, reflecting the commitment, resilience, and passion they have demonstrated throughout their GCSE course.

“Alongside the GCSE exhibition, visitors also enjoyed an inspiring display of artwork created by students from Years 7 to 10,
highlighting the breadth of artistic talent across the school.”

The event on Wednesday 1 July attracted a large number of visitors to Aureus.

Ms Robins continued: “I was overwhelmed by the fantastic attendance, and the incredibly positive feedback we received. It was heartening to see so many visitors taking the time to appreciate and celebrate the creativity and achievements of our students.

“The Aureus Arts Exhibition is one of the highlights in our school calendar. It provides an important opportunity to celebrate the hard
work and accomplishments of all our students, while inspiring younger pupils to develop their own creative ambitions.”

She added: “As Head of Art, I am immensely proud of our GCSE Class of 2026. They have worked with dedication, enthusiasm, and determination to produce an exceptional body of work of which they should be extremely proud.

“Their achievements are a testament to their creativity, perseverance, and willingness to challenge themselves throughout the course.

“Art has the power to build confidence, encourage self-expression, and bring communities together, and it was a privilege to share our
students’ remarkable achievements with so many visitors.”
