Cordwalles Junior School works with Surrey Wildlife Trust
BackFrom this week, Cordwalles Junior School are excited to be collaborating with Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT) on their new Wilder Schools programme.
A three-year project empowering children to take action for nature at school and in their wider community, Wilder Schools will also encourage and support teachers to take their learning outdoors.
On the first day of the programme, SWT Engagement and Conservation Officer, Ross Packman, led Year 5 into the school grounds for habitat and biodiversity surveys.
The information collected will help the students identify how they can improve the school grounds for wildlife and develop new habitats through a Community Action Day later in the academic year.
