Boundless Festival Spelling Bee

Meridian High School hosted the latest Boundless Festival Spelling Bee, bringing together students from 18 primary and secondary schools for a day of friendly competition, teamwork and academic excellence. With record participation, this year's event was bigger than ever, featuring separate primary and secondary competitions.

Students demonstrated impressive spelling ability, resilience and composure throughout a series of heats and challenges. After highly competitive finals, Cuddington Croft Primary School claimed the primary title, while Merstham Park School emerged victorious in the secondary competition.

The event was a fantastic celebration of learning and achievement, showcasing the dedication and enthusiasm of students across the Trust. Thank you to all participating schools, staff and organisers for making the day such a success.

Boundless Festival Debating Competition

Students from across GLF Schools came together at the Oval Cricket Ground for the annual Boundless Festival Debating Competition, showcasing outstanding oracy, critical thinking and teamwork. Competitors tackled challenging topics with confidence, presenting persuasive arguments and responding thoughtfully to counterpoints.

Representing primary and secondary schools from across the Trust, pupils impressed judges with their maturity, creativity and communication skills. The event highlighted the power of student voice and the importance of providing opportunities for young people to develop confidence in expressing their ideas. Following a series of closely contested rounds, Frogmore Junior School and Meridian High School were crowned champions.
