The GLF Foundation supported Southgate Primary School’s school readiness programme by funding a visit from Little City East Sussex. The six-week programme helps children and families prepare for the transition to Reception, building confidence, independence and familiarity with school life. Through imaginative role-play activities, children developed their communication, social and language skills while forming new friendships and getting to know Reception staff. 

Frogmore Junior School has unveiled a new sensory garden, created with support from the GLF Foundation to provide an inclusive outdoor space for all pupils. Designed to support wellbeing, emotional regulation and hands-on learning, the garden transforms an underused area into a calm and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore and thrive. Pupils played an active role in shaping the space, helping to create a shared resource that will benefit the whole school community for years to come.

Marden Lodge Primary School and Nursery has enhanced its outdoor learning environment with new playground facilities supported by the GLF Foundation. Designed to promote physical activity, balance, coordination and confidence, the new equipment includes a trim trail and a dedicated gross motor skills area for younger children, helping pupils grow, learn and flourish through active play.

Glyn School officially opened a new FIFA-standard 3G football pitch and pavilion, creating a state-of-the-art sporting facility for students and the community. The new facilities will support participation in sport across GLF Schools and beyond, providing opportunities for thousands of young people to train, compete and thrive. Supported by the GLF Foundation, the project will also help increase access to sport for disadvantaged and underrepresented groups, reinforcing the positive impact of sport on wellbeing and community connection.

The GLF Foundation’s inaugural Secondary School Golf Day brought together students from Highdown School, Glyn School and The Beacon School for a memorable day of sport, personal development and connection. Held as part of the Boundless Festival, the event encouraged students to develop valuable life skills including teamwork, communication, patience and resilience. Participants enjoyed friendly competition while building new friendships with peers from across GLF.

Warren Mead have transformed an unused outdoor space into The Quad, a vibrant sensory and wildlife garden that benefits pupils across the school. Featuring a sensory walkway, vegetable patches, a reading area and a wildlife pond, the space provides opportunities for outdoor learning, creativity and wellbeing. Children played an active role in its design and now take part in regular gardening activities, helping them connect with nature and develop new skills. The Quad also offers a calm retreat that supports emotional wellbeing.

With support from the GLF Foundation, Year 9 students at Merstham Park School took part in a unique spray-paint workshop led by local artist Uncle Stubble. Students learned professional artistic techniques, including line work and colour blending, before putting their skills into practice by creating a vibrant mural for the school. The project gave students the opportunity to develop their creativity, work collaboratively and contribute to a lasting piece of artwork that now proudly welcomes visitors to the school community.

The GLF Foundation gave 100 students from across its schools the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Music for Youth Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, celebrating young musical talent on a national stage. Students from The Vale, Cordwalles and Chestnut Park took part in performances that included compositions by Foundation Ambassador and former Glyn student Jack Pepper, with one pupil performing a solo alongside him. For many students, it was their first visit to London and their first experience performing before a large audience. The event highlighted the transformative power of music and the Foundation’s commitment to providing unforgettable opportunities that inspire confidence, ambition and creativity.

The GLF Foundation partnered with Miniminter, his charity M7Education and retailer Kick Game to provide Year 6 pupils and Chestnut Park RAP Club members with brand-new trainers ahead of Christmas. The initiative brought joy to students while helping ensure they had suitable footwear for the winter months. More than a festive surprise, the project highlighted the power of generosity, community and partnership in supporting young people. 

A group of Glyn students from Years 9 to 11 were able to participate in a community art project, facilitated through the company Positive Arts and GLF Schools’ Foundation. This involved them working with a local artist to create graffiti art on a section of Upper High Street Epsom.

Through a partnership between the GLF Foundation and the Tim Henman Foundation, every pupil at Manor Primary School received their own tennis racket, helping to broaden access to sport and physical activity. The initiative builds on ongoing support that provides weekly tennis lessons, taught by trained instructors, aims to build confidence, improve physical fitness, and teach valuable life skills such as teamwork and perseverance.
